Anita Bruckers

The last time I rode my bike for 50 miles was 8 years ago but I am (getting) ready to do it all over again because the cause is now even more important than it was in 2018.

I will be riding to support The Center for Youth, a Rochester organization that supports LGBTQ+ Programs. The Center’s vision is a world where all youth grow and thrive in an equitable and beloved community, so youngsters can realize their full potential.

Family and friends all know why this cause is so close to my heart. After years of struggling in Middle School, our daughter came out as trans. Though the journey has not been all smooth sailing, she will be graduation college this May with a degree in Graphic Design and minors in Health Science and Biology. On May 30th, she will be sitting for the MCAT exam as she is determined to become a medical doctor to fulfill her passion for helping people in their worst time of need. In her free time, she works as an EMT with volunteer ambulances in her local communities.

Witnessing how people in the LGBTQ+ community can thrive and show us how we can be our very best if we can be our truest selves, makes the impact that organizations, such as The Center for Youth, have even more apparent.

Therefore I kindly ask you to support my ride via my webpage  https://the-center-for-youth.givecloud.co/fundraising/p2p/donate/KJEZ2JE2 . 100% of your donation (minus a small processing fee) will go directly to The Center for Youth.

For each $10 donated, donors will receive a ticket for a raffle for which the main prize will be a piece of art created by our daughter.
