Hi I’m Allan, welcome to my Ride for Pride donation page!!
The Ride for Pride is back!! After a brief hiatus (and a global pandemic) we’re back, raising money and awareness for LGBTQ+ organizations in the Greater Rochester region!
For those of you who are new to the event, R4P is a 50ish mile ride through the Western New York countryside by cyclists of all levels of experience and ability in order in support of a selected LGBTQ+ organization.
So, why ride for 50+ miles on a (hopefully) sunny June day?
Well, this year for the Ride’s reboot, we are raising funds for the Center for Youth, whose mission it is to provide vital services and a safe space to help vulnerable youth in our community. While this is the main goal, we all have many personal reasons for riding: to honour and support friends and family members; the belief that everyone has a right to be who they are without fear, and enjoying cycling on country roads with a really swell group of people!
